A LITTLE ABOUT OUR COMPANY

  Shoreline Overhead Door & Supply LLC was started in 1988 by the owner Paul Dorothy Jr. Paul had worked many years for a corporate overhead door company and had worked his way up to a lead technician. Although Paul was at the top of the company he wasn't completely happy just being a lead technician, he saw a huge need for quality craftsmanship and reliable customer service and that care missing from big companies. Over numerous years of training and teaching technicians the proper, and safe way to repair and install doors the owner of this company had repeatedly asked for less craftsmanship and more quanity. Customers would request Paul on a daily bases and after years of customers and other technician asking Paul what he was doing working for this company and that he had a gift and a talent and should be on his own, he finally did just that. In 1988 Paul left the corperate world and started Overhead Door Doctor in Clinton, CT. It wasn't long before he was established as a door company and customers once again requested his services. In just a couple of years he had made a name for himself and started growing larger by the day. It wasn't long before he had a large customer database and a reputable name for reliable, freindly service. Paul then recruted his wife and sons to help out. Although his sons were young at the time Paul began teaching them the trade and it wasn't long before they fell in love with what they had learned. Today Overhead Door Doctor is known as Shoreline Overhead Door & Supply, LLC and has outgrown the walls of there building in Clinton, CT and has relocated in Old Lyme, CT. Shoreline Overhead Door is still family owned and has never lost the caring feel that Paul had created in 1988. Customers to this day still request Paul to take care of them and he will still get out there and install. Paul has received many corporate buy-out offers and refuses to lose the quality and craftsmanship that he worked so hard for that is missing from most companies. Paul and the family set high standards for there employees which are met daily. All of there technician are factory certified installers and O.S.H.A certified. Shoreline Overhead Door employ's only the best in the door industry and all employees go through a yearly random background check and drug test. In the course of twenty years Paul has grown his small company into a large respectable and reliable company with that small company feel.
